Constructed in the 1970s on a 2.3 acre lot in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, the former Portsmouth Herald building required a face-lift to bring it back to life.  DeStefano Architects embraced a sustainable approach by reusing the existing building to create office space for up to eight tenants.

Large amounts of glass were introduced to the façade so that natural light could penetrate deep into the spaces.

Additional exterior renovations included a new entrance and awning which used metals and contemporary detailing to add a sleek, clean and modern face to the building.

The interior changed drastically with a new common corridor that connects the spaces and creates a bright, sunny core within the building.
