Sited atop a crest, overlooking the newly established golf course, this home welcomes those returning from their game.
The progression from the neighboring green to the rough and upwards to the home begins the hospitable experience for both homeowner and guests. Passing the pool and outdoor patios and entering into the game room with its earthen wine cellar, promotes the mutiple opportunities for fun and relaxation.
Key to the design and planning for this property was the ability for visitors to effortlessly experience the home by transitioning multiple levels with ease. To achieve this, rooms are open and passageways dissolve to become part of the living space, views are direct and clear through aligned doorways; and layers of space offer opportunity to convert several rooms from public to private space. A vertical spine promotes a continuous view of the landscape beyond; an intentional placement of windows throughout captures views of the contiguous area, tying the home to its surroundings. This theme was further reinforced by repetition on all three levels-ground floor entertainment, first floor family living and second floor private space.
