Scattered about the United States, an extended family longed to share time and holiday events together on the seacoast shoreline. This home in Rye provided ideal respite during the warm, sunny summer months.
Such a large family means many bodies. Large common living areas were designed specifically for family gatherings and great feasts after long days on the beach. Furnishings and décor were chosen with the sea in mind- nautical themes run rampant throughout the home delighting the younger generations, and providing comfort and a sense of peacefulness to those wise enough to notice.
Smaller rooms branch off of their larger counterparts within the home, allowing for cozier confines in which to enjoy quiet time and sleep with the gentle lull of the ocean’s waves sneaking in through many windows.
