Using a design/build approach, DeStefano Architects teamed with the contractor to design and construct a new regional branch building in Bedford, New Hampshire for The Provident Bank. The new building, approximately 3,900 square feet, had very specific needs for function and operation of the retail banking space as well as a commercial lending component. The Town of Bedford site review process included a review of appearance and materials. It was essential the design aligned with the brand of the bank while complementing the vernacular architecture of Bedford.
Throughout the process it was important to ensure the design would meet the parameters of the property owner and a previously approved site plan. D|A worked closely with committees within the bank to meet user needs while working with town officials to meet code requirements.
